PUTTING ON BELLY FAT?

Get your menopause metabolism moving!

Our metabolism can slow down as we get older.

And dropping levels of estrogen also play a role in us not metabolising our food as well as we used to.

Skipping meals in an attempt to lose weight can also have the adverse effect of slowing down our metabolism as our bodies conserve energy as it's not getting fed regularly.

Not sleeping well can also just make us feeling lethargic and not wanting to move as much.

Our Basal Metabolic Rate is the rate at which we burn energy (food) while we're just sitting doing nothing.

We want this to be as high as possible throughout the day.

Doing workouts like this one will keep your fast twitch muscle fibers literally twitching all day to keep the metabolism moving and raise your Basal Metabolic Rate to help keep you in fat burning mode.

EQUIPMENT: Just a mat

LEVEL: Intermediate, but suitable for lower levels if you take the lower modifications I give.

This is a quick but super effective workout to kick start your menopausal metabolism and help banish belly fat!
